Golgappe (2023): Gol Gappe is a 2023 Indian Punjabi-language comedy film directed by Smeep Kang. It stars Binnu Dhillon, Rajat Bedi, Ihana Dhillon, Navneet Kaur Dhillon and B. N. Sharma. The film is produced under the banner of Zee Studios, Triflix Entertainment LLP, Janvi Productions, Soham Rockstar Entertainment. The film is a remake of 1989 Malayalam film Ramji Rao Speaking.
The story revolves around three friends, Jaggi, Pali and Nathuram who run a fast-food outlet. One day, they receive a call from a kidnapper demanding a ransom of 10 lacs for the safe return of Dr. Chawla’s wife. Due to a telecommunication mix-up, the call gets diverted to the Golgappe outlet. The three friends, unaware of the seriousness of the situation, decide to play along with the kidnapper. Their innocent actions lead to a series of hilarious misunderstandings and misadventures.
Meanwhile, Dr. Chawla is desperately trying to raise the ransom money. He approaches a local gangster, Bagga, for help. However, Bagga has his own plans and decides to double-cross Dr. Chawla.
As the events unfold, the three friends find themselves entangled in a web of lies and deception. They must use their wit and cunning to outsmart the kidnapper and save Dr. Chawla’s wife.
